Your best bet is to

Your best bet is to contact a local bekepeeer to remove the colony (a hive is the structure they live in). Many will do it without charge in order to get the bees. There’s probably $ 80 worth of bees there. Check bottles of honey at the grocery store and see if any of it comes from a local source, most locals have their name on the label. If not, assuming you are in the US, check the government listing in the phone book for NRCS (natural resources conservation service) and they may be able to give you the name of someone local. Call an exterminator as a last resort, they’ll charge you and it would be a real shame to kill them because honeybees are industrious little guys that are extremely beneficial. I used to keep bees and there’s no way I could just kill them outright, I consider that sort of a crime against nature.
