I’m a trainee do my dissertation A fierce debate about the boilerplate language began about two years ago, when U.S. District Judge Jed S. Rakoff rejected a $285 million settlement that the SEC negotiated with Citigroup, in part because the deal included neither-admit-nor-deny language. The SEC has appealed, and the case is pending before a panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit.
